I have not posted here for a while, and I love this forum!! So I  wanted to share a column that I made as a thank you to someone, and it has gotten me some business! It is all air filled, so saves on the cost of helium! I hope to meet some of you at the WBC this year!!

Yes, Graham you are correct. I looked up the issue of Balloon Magic, and it is indeed Patrick's Little Guy. Well, now I do not feel as bad, knowing that I paid for the magazine that published the sculpture to learn from and copy! I guess I should go through all my Balloon Magic magazines and see if there is anything else that I missed! (I actually have a hard time following some of the instructions in there, I am so spoiled by video and it seems to be so much easier for me to learn from!)

Take care!

Ok, a question that has come up quite a bit lately has been stealing photos. Firstly, I would never use someone else's photo as my own.

I recently saw some photos on a facebook page, and loved the little people that someone made. I re-created them, and posted them on my facebook, only to take them down a few minutes later. I felt like I stole her designs, and I don't want to do that. I had even gave her the credit in the description, but still felt like it was stealing her idea.

I changed the third one I made, but it was fairly similar to the original. The originals are much better than mine, and I am hoping with practice, I can get them better, and add my own style.

What is your opinion on this? Would you be offended or flattered that someone tried to copy your unique designs?

Thank you!

I want to thank you all for your help.
I made my first "table arch" today, and it turned out very stable.

It turned out to be a 10 foot table, and they wanted 7 colors to represent the cancer ribbons (they are cancer treatment center)

We found some clamps from Harbor Freight (hardware store) called Mag spring clamps, they are magnetic, and they have an attachment on top to attach a conduit pole to. Then, I put the aluminum rod into the conduit. It was very sturdy, and I was happy with the results!

Last minute, they wanted the ribbons attached to the front, so we did that too!

I just wanted to thank you all for your help!

Hi Zoe,

That is a great looking pearl arch! I like the small columns on the sides.

Please do keep posting.

I will let you know how it all turns out!

Hi Roger,

I really appreciate your help, it is brilliant! I will do a test run, since it is not needed until June 11, I still have time to play a little. I never thought of using zip strip ties.

I did try to sell her a string of pearl arch, but she wants too many colors and they did prefer the 5" balloons!

I can't thank you all enough for your help.

What a great group of people!

Thank you again!

Balloon Decor / 8 Foot table decor

I have been asked to make an arch for an 8 foot table, and wanted to use the clamps that come with the kits for the tables. But, it says you can not go bigger than a 6 foot table, due to the angle of the arch. (It would be too short and squat)

So I went to the hardware store to look for clamps for a table that I could attach PVC to, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how you would do that.

They have clamps that are many sizes and shapes, but I am not sure I could attach anything to them.

Any suggestions?

I am making a 8ft across, at least 5 foot (off the table) high air filled arch using 5 inch balloons!

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

First of all, I think your Postman is great, as everything you do!

I was recently asked to make a Bieber balloon, and I thought it was just OK. The hair was hard to make it look like the real kid. But the client (mom) loved it (for her daughter), and said it was a hit!

So I guess it is like beauty, all in the eyes of the beholder!

Thank you for this topic, it is good to see that even some of the best struggle a little bit!

Hi Everyone!

I was taught using clusters of three balloons tied together, and using as many as 3 clusters of three, totaling 9 balloons.

It makes a nice spiral!
