Ok, thanks for the suggestions, not inflating the balloon does seem to help, I just need to do this slow and gentle and then the success rate improves.

Hi Oscar,  thanks for the suggestion but I have already tried this and it didn't seem to help me much.  I think I must have odd fingers!

OK I understand the theory of how to do this but I have real problems extracting my finger!  The balloon often develops a hole and then deflates, not quite the look I am going for.  The balloon always ends up really tight on my finger.  I have managed this twist a few times but more by luck than judgement, more balloons have ended up in the bin rather than as a model.  Any ideas on how I can part myself from my balloon without causing a leak?

Hi Graham I saw the balloon days advertised recently but unfortunately it is not possible to get time off work at short notice, perhaps next time, do you have any dates?  Loved the spitfire that was pictured in the paper recently.

Hello All, my name is Bev and I have been balloon twisting for about 9 months now with various degrees of success.  My neice and nephew think it is great, as do other children I know. I'm looking to improve, learn and develop my balloon twisting skills.  I really enjoy balloon twisting although it has to be said my husband is slightly less keen especially when one goes bang!  Found this site after an article in the local Sutton Guardian.
