Here you go! This is one I made with 160's and 260's when I got back from Twist & Shout. :)

Quote from: "funat60"I really have wanted a good face design for a long time and hoped that this would be it.  Using 350's, 260's and 160's - I don't think I personally will have many opportunities to use this one.  I haven't tried it in smaller balloons and maybe that would be an option.  Being an "not professional" twister, I measured each bubble and twist exactly as the directions said and found that my effort did not fit quite right and had too many holes and gaps in the face area.  It's my own fault that the eyes are a little whacky as I didn't take the time when I was finished to re-adjust everything.    Given the price, I'm glad I bought this dvd - however as I said, I doubt that I personally will find many opportunities to use it as the finished product is about 2 feet high.  (PS: Thanks Nippy  :)  )

Thanks so much for taking the time to review my dvd Millie and for the feedback. It really does work in smaller sizes too. If you scale down the balloon sizes you can indeed make a 260/160 version of the head. It's then about a foot tall. I have started a facebook group for owners of the dvd to come and discuss variations and post photos. You can find a couple of examples on there of them made smaller and also lots of other ideas from all over the world.

If I can be of any help regarding the face design please don't hesitate to contact me :)

I always like to challenge myself and I'm having some downtime right now. Therefore when I saw that author Neil Gaiman had a contest to illustrate 12 short stories he'd written; "A Calender of Tales" I thought I'd give it a crack, so here's my contest entry for his April Tale.

I thought I'd post it here so you could see it :)

The story the balloon is based on can be found here //http://keepmoving.blackberry.com/desktop/en/us/ambassador/neil-gaiman.html#Apr

Ah... I wonder who it was? Dave or Glenn maybe? We did meet once at a care and share day in Rotherham (I think that's where it was), it was a good few years ago... I also seem to remember saying hello to you at Blackpool Magic Convention after I'd been busking outside the Winter Gardens building balloons with my gorilla (I could be mistaken about that one, my whiskers tended to get in the way of my sanity)!!!!

Anywho, it's great to see you're doing so well Graham :)

Hi all,

Some of you may know me already from other places around the web, but I thought it was about time I reared my ugly head on this wonderful forum.

My stage name is Phileas Flash (real name Rupert Appleyard) and I'm a British Balloon twister/modeller who now lives in Edmonton, Canaad. I specialise in making people and large scale sculptures out of balloons, but also do the line work as well. One of my goals is to infuse my work with humor as I normally accompany it to gigs and I love to see people laughing. Someone recently called me a "balloon savant" and I guess that's true as I seem to have an intuitive understanding of how to make stuff and am largely self taught. People are constantly asking me to tell them how I make the faces, but each one is different and quite frankly they kind of make themselves!

I have recently created a new Steampunk character "Phileas Flash - Time Twister" so if anyone has any questions about the future feel free to ask (I'll probably get the answer wrong as I'm a clown but you can still ask)

If you want to see more of my work feel free to check out my website; //http://www.flashballoons.com :)

Anywho, thanks for having me.
