My wife is the treasurer for the elementary school which two of my children attend.  She "coerced" me into volunteering to twist for the school's fall festival.  The festival lasted from 12 until noon; however, I didn't keep an eye on the time and by the time I put a placeholder person to end the line it was 5 hrs of twisting.  No breaks....not even for the restroom.  My wife said that "not everyone is going to want a balloon......."  WRONG!!!  I had the longest line at the festival.  No complaints from kids or parents though as I try to entertain as well as twist.  Probably helps that I've never really grown up.     I would have typed something last night but had to rest the fingers.  I'm definitely not complaining as I really enjoyed the whole experience.....sort of like running a marathon.  I just wanted to share it with people who could relate.  

Just received Ken's "Fantastic Females" in the mail a few days ago.....Off to order more balloons lol

Had a little time to twist today and used Robbie's lootle pattern to make a vampire for a friend of my daughter.  Would definitely welcome any constructive criticism as I've only been at this about 8 weeks.

I've only been twisting for a couple of months but am really enjoying it.  I recently purchased a twistemup apron and mini mac pump and am loving them.  During the day, I'm Assistant Chief Medical Examiner for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  My reason for beginning to twist is that I am in the process of joining a masonic lodge with plans of becoming a shriner clown in about a year or so. I have three children at home so there is no lack of "test subjects" for my creations lol. The only problem is that my 6-1/2 year old daughter wants to keep everything I make and my wife says the house looks like a "balloon factory."  I can make about twenty things at present about half of which are Halloween related as my wife volunteered me to twist balloons for my younger son's Fall Festival at his school in October.  I'm strictly nonprofit but so far the joy of seeing a child's face when I make something out of balloons is worth far more than the price of latex.
