Went to a party yesterday afternoon for one of my friend's kids from church.  It was a luau themed party so I made her this adorable Hula Monkey - inspired by the fabulous Twisted Jester!  It was a HIT!!  The b-day girl loved it & so did the grandmother - so much that she tried to keep it!

Model Of The Month / July 2009 - May I make a suggestion??
« on: June 30, 2009, 04:46:21 PM »
Graham, if I may, I'd like to make a suggestion for the July model of the month (or possibly a challenge??).  I know most of the twisters aren't from the US, but July 4th is our Independence Day.  I'd like to suggest the Model of the Month be something to represent America or a Freedom celebration.  Maybe not necessarily 1 specific model, but show us your best sculpture that you think represents this theme.

Some suggestions or things I think of associated with America & Independence Day:  flag, eagle, Statue of Liberty, cookouts (hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.), fireworks - just to name a few.

OK - it's not the best, but it didn't turn out too bad!  I used the instructions from this forum http://

I have only done a vase a couple of times before & it's been quite some time.

The flowers I didn't really have any instructions.  Just did them off the top of my head.

What do you think?0617090907a.jpg[/attachment:1dl34w54]0617090907b.jpg[/attachment:1dl34w54]

Events. Balloon, Magic, Etc / Skype Balloon Jam
« on: June 07, 2009, 03:02:57 AM »
HEY!!  Anyone interested in a Balloon Jam on Skype??  I'm fairly new to the Skype world.  Don't have a webcam yet but just got a mic last night.  So if you're on Skype, look me up & add me! jonsgirl1216

If someone wants to organize a jam soon let's get it together!

I have decided that I need a website.  We're just getting started in the business aspect of clowning & twisting & funds are VERY limited.  I'd really prefer FREE if possible.  I'm new to the forum but have read through some of the older posts about a website.  So far I'm kinda leaning toward Weebly.  My question is, how user friendly is this site for uploading pics & such?  Also, have any of you run across any other free sites that you would recommend?  Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Hello new friends!  I'm Jennifer & I have multiple personalities.  hehe, not really - just multiple characters.  I'm a receptionist for a law firm by day & a clown / entertainer the rest of the time!  I sort of introduced my characters in another topic - http://   You can check that out to get an idea.  There's also a link to my MySpace pics so you can see the different characters & some of my clown friends.

First & foremost, I am a Christian.  I'm happily married to Jonathan since December 2000.  We don't have any kids yet, unless you count the 4-legged fur child that doesn't know he's a dog.  But we trust that when the time is right, the Lord will bless us as He sees fit.  I have been clowning just over 2 years & twisting about as long.  My husband & I started clowning with our church ministry & have branched out from there.  A year or so ago the couple that was over the ministry left the church & it sort of fell apart.  But that's ok because God was already working on putting something else together.  Not long before that we met some clowns from our area on another forum.  So we decided to get together.  Well, we hit it off, started meeting about once a month & from that Royal Ruckus was born.  We are a Christian based group but we do more than church stuff.  We also do fundraisers, corporate events, birthday parties, school stuff, & more!  We work together on lots of things, but we also work individually.

Speaking of individual work, right now, my husband & I are doing something special.  You'll notice my signature says "Clowning for a Cure".  We are in the middle of a fundraising effort for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Right now, at least 10% of all money we make clowning or twisting is being set aside to go with our personal donation to Light the Night.  Check out that link for more information.  We are doing this in honor of my boss's son Ethan.  He is the honored hero for this year's walk for our area.

Well, that's enough for now.  I'm sure you'll get to know me better through future posts.  I'm so excited to have found this forum & the chance to make new friends & learn new things!

God Bless!!
