Well today I had a productive day tidying up the understair cupboard and found a few loose balloons.

So I thought I would have a play with these and tried to give a bit of weaving a go as i have never done this before. Below is what turned out and I believe that I started to make a dragons head, although not in any normal colour scheme. I have the urge to do more now.

Its been a long time since I have been active on here but just a quick question. I am currently using Sempertex balloons for my twisting and thinking of moving over to Qualatex.

Just a couple of questions. Will I notice any real differences when twisting with these i.e length and also are the colours very different.

well what can I say.

I haven't been on here for a while and thats for many reasons. I have done a few gigs but due to me losing a load of excess weight (nearly 5 stone) and getting back to full time work (postie) I have not been doing as much twisting as I would like.

This is all to change this year.I have got a charity do next weekend for Help For Heroes and that will hopefully open some doors for me with advertising myself.

After getting a crazy year for me out the way, in both good and bad, I intend to attend a few more events and really build myself up around the local area and get myself known for my talent.

Its nice to be back on and I hope I can contribute to the site as well as the rest of you all.

I think i'm getting quite good at the twisting now. Yeah sure, I am always looking for new ideas/models to be in my portfolio but I would like some advice where to go next.

I have started to do some gigs/parties as a sole twister but I feel that I would like to be able to offer something else. Maybe a routine or such.

Trouble is, where do I start. How do you develop a routine from scratch. What else can you offer a client?

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm lost.

I want to start twisting for parties on a regular basis now and I have had a few people interested and hopefully some work lined up soon but there is one thing.
I have no idea where to start when it comes to a name for myself. I don't know whether to go with something simple like DAZ THE BALLOON MAN or any others.

I would be grateful of any suggestions or even hints

I'm in need of some help and for once its not about twisting.

I want to start my own company up doing some balloon entertaining and not sure where to start.

I need Public Liability Insurance but not sure where to start and what reputable companies there are. I have had some interest at the moment but cannot do anything till I have PLI.

Do some companies require you to have had some 'gigs' prior to letting you take out PLI

I'm new to the modelling world but i think i'm in a position now to make a balloon face as opposed to just a 5" round for a face.

I have my first 'gig' on Friday at a school fair and am nervous as hell.

I just want to make sure that I have got all the stuff i need as i'm sure I have forgotten something.

Could anyone give me some advice/guidance as what to take, do, and mostly prepare.

First things first I'm very new and only a baby in the world of Balloon Modelling but loving every minute of it.

My name is Darren and I have decided to call myself 'Daz Pizazz'

I stumbled across balloon modelling whilst at home after having to leave work. I will get some pictures posted on here when I can but be warned, its basic.
