I'm sure most of us have read Nippys review of 1FIVEZERO. This book was surrounded by hype. Full of highly recognizable characters that get more popular with every sequel that they pop out. A irresistible claim that most twisters would love to get their hands on. I personally don't really buy instructional media but even I was tempted.

After reading through Nippys review which admittedly got even more funny with every post featuring his frustration with the god awful quality. After he threw in the towel and gave it an E rating I sent him a message. Send me the book. I will finish it.

It sounded like fun and a bit of an interesting side project. Surely it couldn't be that bad. Perhaps just a language barrier...

Just got it today so let the Re-Review begin!

I have been asked time and time again to explain the Tak weave on my Facebook page. I Have been considering just making a YouTube tutorial on the subject. Are there any objections to this? Is thee currently a resource that has calmed ownership of the technique?

I love this movie and am extremely happy with how this one came out. Held onto the creep factor and came out very clean.

Was just revisiting the not to distant memories of Saturday mornings on the Cartoon Network and thought I would have a go at my favorites.

Had an interesting experience this week. I was invited to be an extra in a indie horror comedy flick they are shooting around my area. Needless to say once I let slip that I did balloons my role quickly became "guy that twists balloons".

I spent the morning throwing together a bunch of stuff lazily and watching the crew run by as my pile grew larger. At around noon my scene was up. I was placed in a snazzy cowboy outfit and set on the porch with a handful of kids that would have balloons as the camera panned past through the door.

It is worth mentioning that this was the hottest day we have had in the last 2 years so as take after take went by I grew more annoyed that my balloons were losing their luster and feeling more and more cheap. It quickly became a moment I regretted and I hope it finds itself on the cutting room floor.

On a brighter note I made a bunch of larger pieces for the dusk hula party scene and they went along great up in the shot. I was not in that scene but it sure will be swell to see my balloons looking good on the big screen.

Oh and I met Doug Jones! You know him right? Course you do.

Well I really wanted a bigfoot design. I live in the Pacific northwest so it is rather topical here but I really have never sat down and done it. I took the basic idea of Busters gorilla and elongated the face. I incorporated a chin along with a more ape like brow. I'm happy with it at least. Some folks are headed into town to film a low budget Bigfoot horror film and im handing this off to them. Perhaps I get a bit role in exchange...

Been awhile since I've seen a topic for this so here we go! Post a balloon instrument (or a few...).

If you know me you know I love the ukulele but to sculpt one has always failed to impress me. With a stroke of inspiration it came to me. I present it to you.

Those of you friendly with my facebook page got in on this first but I had the fantastic opportunity to make some of the big stuff this weekend.

The order was as follows;

All lifesize. So here we go.

I like to shrink down Dons gorilla. I drive a bug and I cant be hauling a 6 foot beast around. I find he scales well and quickly becomes adorable.

This is also one of the auctioned off pieces I made for the sick little girl. I hear the auction went very well.

Poor girl was in need of a liver transplant a while back. They asked if I would be willing to donate a sculpture to auction off. You bet!

I had never really put any time into a Mickey and I had never seen him done in full wizard dress. So I went all out on both.
