Balloon Chit Chat / Parrot
« on: October 23, 2020, 04:26:49 PM »
I saw a Parrot design by Masayoshi Matsumoto, first picture. I thought it was very nice and I would have a go.
This is how my version came out, I think I added an extra body bubble as he is quite chunky.

Balloon Chit Chat / Fennec Fox
« on: October 17, 2020, 01:52:01 PM »
On one of my Facebook posts where I posted a Fox someone said they had to make a Fennec Fox.
As I'd never heard of it I had to Google and this is it.

I tried some double stuffing on first picture but it did not really look right.
There was a lot of double stuffing trying to get colour tones.

Then went for a simpler version ..................
I'm sure we will never have to make again but thought I'd post my couple of efforts.

Balloon Chit Chat / Scream
« on: October 16, 2020, 12:13:02 PM »
Someone who will remain nameless  ;D ;D gave me a challenge to make Scream.
Here are a few variations and changing him slightly as we went.

The eyes/nose section were not to great in first picture.
Second picture eyes/nose section a little better.
Added extra white to forehead and around mouth in picture three but then
not enough black showing at top of head on picture three.

Picture two was my favourite at the moment.

Balloon Chit Chat / Chucky
« on: October 14, 2020, 02:49:36 PM »
This is carrying on from the Challenge thread that Danielle and I have been doing this year.
The theme was Halloween and I chose to make Chucky.

I made version one and two and then added to them as well.

« on: October 09, 2020, 05:12:25 PM »
I made this earlier in the week following on from a design I was making at the London Jam.

I got rid of his double chin in picture three.

Events. Balloon, Magic, Etc / London Jam
« on: October 07, 2020, 02:36:10 PM »
Due to all the covid restrictions etc we have not met since last November so had a very
small get together and did keep our distance at the venue.
The six of us sat over four tables.

The face was from an Idea from Jason Secoda.
Kat made the man and Susie the ghost.

Balloon Chit Chat / Car from Digger
« on: October 04, 2020, 05:12:22 PM »
When i was making the digger up for the model of the month I always thought the cab
looked like the start of a car so I made this today from the digger cab.

The tutorial for the Digger is here,

Balloon Chit Chat / Digger Tutorial
« on: October 01, 2020, 10:29:40 AM »
Digger Tutorial.

Well after posting free tutorials for the past 12 years onto Balloon Chat under model of the month.
Then onto BalloonTube here is my very first paid for download tutorial.
And yes I'm a little nervous about posting about it and appreciate its probably the worse time to
post when we have all had no work for 6 months and pennies are a little tight.
That is why I have put a basic Digger onto balloon chat and made the more detailed design for the download.
The tutorial will be ready for me to send the links out on Monday.
So we are having a mini pre-order 😁

This is the direct link to purchase form the website,

Model Of The Month / October Model of the Month (Digger)
« on: September 28, 2020, 05:19:08 PM »
I'm going with the Digger for the model of the month for October.
I was challenged about 10 days back to make a Digger from 4 balloons and thought I would
not be able to do it as I do like to add an extra balloon here and there in my designs.
But a 4 balloon Digger for line work I was able to make.
I'm rather pleased about that, and yes I then went on and made a more elaborate Digger
from 6 balloons but we are keeping with the 4 balloon version for this tutorial.

I have filmed the 6 balloon Digger and I'm thinking about making it a paid tutorial,
just thinking about it at the moment but you never know.

This is the little complimentary pack of balloons people will receive with their balloon orders this month.

This popped up on my Facebook page and might come in handy for some,

Picture Gallery / Boy and Girl
« on: September 27, 2020, 11:02:54 AM »
I'm never quite sure what to call these designs so just went with boy and girl.
I changed his shoes to match when they are together holding hands.

Balloon Chit Chat / Twisting Fun 4 Everyone
« on: September 26, 2020, 10:11:40 AM »
So like many others I have not worked for 6 months so looking at other ways to get a little income.
I have made up some Balloon Tutorial selection Box's and will possibly call it "Twisting Fun 4 Everyone"
There are five designs with enough balloons to make each design ten times.
You can purchase with a pump or without.
So this is the prototype, I will be filming the video tutorial hopefully today and
have them available to purchase on the website from Monday.

If anyone has any suggestions on the name to call the new project then all suggestions are welcomed.
I have been mentioning it as a selection box but the Twisting fun 4 Everyone is nice and catchy as well.

Picture Gallery / Motor Bike
« on: September 25, 2020, 11:01:08 AM »
My old motor bike design that I used to say was two balloons but was two balloons and a scrap can
now be made with just two balloons using the chrome 260 as they are a few fingers longer.

Balloon Chit Chat / Dog Re-Visited
« on: September 21, 2020, 10:35:28 AM »
I made the dog .....possibly 10/12 years ago now. It was when Rosaleen was over from the USA I do remember that.
I have messaged to see what year it was. I always liked the look of the Dog and have tried to make it a couple
of times since but it did not work out. Even this one is a variation and not the same.

Picture Gallery / Female Character
« on: September 20, 2020, 11:11:07 AM »
I have been going over some of my older designs as I was nominated for this Facebook 10 day balloon challenge.
This design I made a t a guess was about 5/6 years ago at the London Jam. I have always liked the
construction of the dress and the bottom section is just an upside down flower that I used to make.
I decided to make the top section of the dress from 350's and as this was doubled so I could fit
the shoulders as I wanted to it did give her the look of being pregnant which I thought was
a bonus especially if you are doing some baby showers.
