Balloon Chit Chat / Video/ PDF for new twister
April 25, 2011, 11:31:29 PM
I am new to the game and totally addicted. I was wondering if someone could recommend a DVD or PDF that is best for beginners. I of course YouTube and scavenge the Internet but I like to learn from dvd's as well.

I purchased flower clowns dvd and I highly recommend it, but I am ready for something new and different. I hear buster balloon has a video coming out this summer, but I need something to tide me over. I would like to stick to balloons figures made primarily from 260's.

I have found a ton of great ideas on the forum and I know you all will point me in the right direction.

I am planning on going to the t myers jam in Kansas City Kansas this summer, I am sure I will learn lots there as well.

Thanks

Balloon Chit Chat / iPad/iPhone as a balloon menu
April 25, 2011, 11:25:22 PM
Anyone ever used an iPad or iPhones as a balloon menu?  My wife made a shirt that will hold my iPad, I can then make a slide show of balloon figures I can make.  Could be hung on a wall or set on a table so on. Shirt just keeps it from getting taken. Same could be done with iPhone or other tablet pc's.  Anyone done anything like this?  Now I just need to learn enough balloons to actually make a decent slide show.

Thanks

Is there a trick to popping a bunch of practice balloons all at once? I have been tossing them in a trash bag but I thought there might be a expert trick out there.

Thanks

I was in Branson Missouri at the nearly opened landing and there was a busker there with a jugfull of money. When I got home I got my first bag of balloons and a hand pump. I started practicing and I was hooked. That was about 1 year ago. I have done about 10 events since then but have never made a dime. Funny the clown with a big jug of money was what sparked my interest and now I do it for the personal joy and the joy of those that receive my balloons.

I eventually hope to do amgig for tips but I have two more gigs coming up both fund raisers, both I will be doing for free.

So in short I am new to the game and very eager to learn I am loving the forum so far
