HI Danny,

its a very good and interesting question. The large companies and corporations are limiting to zeroing their marketing currently, but this is having a very negative effect. I think this is because rather than choosing carefully who they market with, they are just closing off completely.

My recent expereince has shown me that it is far better to chose your marketing route correctly to gain maximum return. Last week I concentrated on a mail merge to a number of specific customers and potential customers. This worked very well in not only promoting our business but also to gain new business. Over the next year, we have chosen a specific industry mag to advertise in. And so on...

I totally agree that local mags/ info papers ect.. are brilliant also for advertising. We have a local advertising booklet that comes every month, just for the Crawley area. It is brilliant, as it shows all the new products that local business have, discounts ect.. We use it all the time. If you have one of these, i suggest that you use it.

Welcome / Hello from Me!!

Just a quick note to say hello! and to say just a little bit about myself for those who dont know me.

I have recently taken redundancy from Air Liquide, where I looked after the Balloon Gas business. (prev from Linde Gas) Some of you may know me from the balloon/party shows, and those of you who do both Twisting and Decorating will know me from NABAS too!

I have met Graham on several occasions on thought that I would intriduce myself to this ever growing site. Wow, very informative. Me, being me, would never want to miss out on a good thing, so i have joined up.

I have now moved on to a company called Freshford Ltd. Some of you may have already purchased our Inflation equipment in the past without even knowing it. We produce our own and Westwin Inflators for the UK. (amongst other products and gases.) http://www.freshfordltd.co.uk/

So, if anyone has any questions that I can help with, please feel free to ask and Ill doo my best for you. For now, Im going to read through the forums and be nosey xxx
