This is a great article, but I think a lot of balloon modellers do not realise their value.  They are frightened to charge an appropriate fee and would rather accept a lower price instead of lose the booking. And sadly this means the ones who do charge 'the right price' have a battle on their hands.

I know that this is an old thread but I've only just joined.

I wrote this blog after having a really bad end to a day's twisting.  (A guy wrote some really slanderous stuff about me on his Facebook page. However the threat of legal action sorted him out.)

I was saddened to hear the news about Mel. My first balloon books were Doug Brearley's All Wind & Twists, bought from him. I got to meet him at Jumbo Days and he was a really nice guy. RIP Mel
