Hi Yvonne, if you want to drive quite a way for a coffee, we can watch them all together!
Lootles is quite possibly the best commercial dvd that has affected my work on a job.
 ;)

I think 2011 is going to be really hard for everyone and the pain has only just begun for the average person so I expect 2011 to be a little slow.  Although I am busy and quietly doing well, its taken 5 years to build the business up to this stage and I do not expect any growth in 2011. Hold onto the clients you have and treat them well.  Things are being left to the last minute for bookings frequently.

Number 9 is a good number!
I was sold on the dvd idea.
The club concept is a fantastic one and we should support it if we can.

I had balloon envy when I looked at that link. I do not need it, but it is very very nice. Graham, if one or two of us were to consider putting in advance orders, could you get them in stock on your site to keep the shipping cost down. Also, assume there would be duty to pay on it too, putting the price up even more.
Just a thought?

I think you will find, once you have your lovely filbert, even if you were not busy and just looked at it, you would not part with it.
Its a love thing.

You will get the ocassional child that cannot help themselves and reach for a pretty colour, but most are fine. When you do get a child that is determined, you have to be really firm and tell them they cannot get a balloon if they pull them out. That usually works.
Also if you have a filbert or similar, it creates a natural barrier of space between you and the kids, again, this helps deter them.
Hope this helps.

I was not really impressed. I would not sell them with any conviction to a client.

Hi there, when you are working away at speed and a large queue, keep it simple and get a good quality pump, like a filbert or similar and do not worry yourself. Whilst its impressive to blow by mouth, in reality, on a busy job, not realistic or you will end up doing yourself an injury.
Hope this helps, Ali.

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Six foot Climb inside balloon
February 15, 2011, 06:19:40 PM
Graham very kindly sold me some 6 foot balloons a while back. After looking at the safety instructions I was ready to go. It was fab and you can see my attempt at the photo gallery of my website at www.cheshireentertainer.co.uk but what I would add is what the instructions do not tell you about.
I took my belt off to avoid any sharp objects, consequently when you climb in, your trousers come down!
thankfully, it was a trial run and we all thought it was very funny but unless you built it into your rountine, you may get a surprise! Keep your wits about you and enjoy. It is a surreal experience.
