I braved the weather today to go to a sheltered housing centre (like a care home but it is a set of flats with comunial rooms and care staff if you need them).

The picture is of 3 young ladies that were there, they are all over 90, the one on the right is the youngest at 93 the one on the left 97 and the one in the middle 98, they were such fun and they all wanted hats. They have a 'dressing the tree' evening on Friday and they hope to wear them for it.

Did not know where to post this but as we are the sort of people that get a lot of deliveries thought the heads up would be useful.

I have been passed this from a very good source and it is on the crimestopers website.

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).

DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £315 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655.

For more information, see the Crime Stoppers website:

Balloon Chit Chat / taking good photos
September 13, 2010, 07:59:28 PM
Just thought I would note the fact that tomorrow night channel 5 start a new series called "How to Take Stunning Pictures"

New series. Professional photographers hold a masterclass in the art of taking beautiful pictures, with each episode focusing on a particular aspect of capturing images. Celebrity snapper Harry Borden, who has photographed everyone from Angelina Jolie to Dizzee Rascal, offers advice on portraiture to two novices before they are tested with assignments including taking a photograph for the Help for Heroes charity. Presented by Suzi Perry.

Picture Gallery / ST GEORGES DAY
April 23, 2010, 10:35:42 PM
British by birth - ENGLISH by the grace of god. today I saw St Georges flag, fluttering from a mast,it waved in recognition to the glories of the past,it beckoned to the future, and seemed to say out loud,if you are an englishman look up and be proud.
Come what may, let men say, THIS IS ENGLAND MY ENGLAND! HAPPY ST GEORGES DAY!!

I have had a busy day to day largely delivering red & White balloons to pubs, but did make one sculpture for one of my Wetherspoons.

Balloon Decor / balloon calculator to try
April 05, 2010, 03:06:09 PM
Hi all

I have a balloon arch calculator that I have written in excel.

It has only been used by me but I have just spent a little time tarting it up and if any one would be willing to evaluate it for me will mail you a copy.(you will need excel on your pc) It works out quantity of balloons based on the standard formula's, how much helium it will take and  how much the balloons and helium cost would be.

If this one is liked I have a few others for working out job costs etc. and will look at tarting them up as well.
