OK - I gave it a go.  Not nearly as good as Thelma's or Graham's but I'm pleased with a first attempt! Tonya, you inspired me!  I made this little girl using your 2nd picture as a guide.  I used a round for the head because I didn't have any white hearts. [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ] 0528092042a.jpg[/attachment:167qlwq5]

I have decided that I need a website.  We're just getting started in the business aspect of clowning & twisting & funds are VERY limited.  I'd really prefer FREE if possible.  I'm new to the forum but have read through some of the older posts about a website.  So far I'm kinda leaning toward Weebly.  My question is, how user friendly is this site for uploading pics & such?  Also, have any of you run across any other free sites that you would recommend?  Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I purchased Sitters & 2fers last week & absolutely LOVE THEM!!!
Please forgive the poor quality of photos.  They were taken with my cell phone & I haven't had a chance to try to edit them or get pics with my good camera.

The frog from sitters is TOO CUTE!

Just a little too late for the competition, but I just joined the forum this week.  Anyway, I had found instructions for Patricia's Dog on a hat online some time ago - before I even knew whe Patricia Bunnell was.  LOVED IT!  So then I added this simple body & did it in 160's.  It's cute & simple enough for line work.  Forgive the bad quality of the picture.  I didn't have it saved on my computer so I took a picture of the actual picture with my phone.  The original is much better!  It's in my album that I sit out when I'm twisting.  I've also included the picture of the hat I made.  Both are a big hit!

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: YOUTUBE

This is part of a church service my clown group did back in November.  The Hop to Heaven skit done by Pokey & Harmony (my hubby & me) is from one of Ralph Dewey's Gospel Balloon books - I can't remember which because I have several!  It was adapted slightly to fit our group.  Feel free to check out the other skits that my buddy Ty-Me posted as well.

OK... I gotta try to post a picture again.  This is my purple swan / duck.  It's very similar to the one Pinchtwist posted.  My friend taught me.  She sorta worked it out from directions for a stork.  Then she shared with me & I added feet.  In case I can't get the picture to post, here is the link where I posted it on another forum: //http://balloon-animals.com/forum/index.php?topic=2245.0 [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ] Swan Duck.jpg[/attachment:1c56x72s]

OMG!!  I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!  YEAH ME!!!

I think I'm kinda partial to the clown as well!  I'm learning so many different ways to use 321's & hearts.  This forum is opening up a whole new twisted world for me!  Can't wait to get home from the "real job" to play with balloons!  Hopefully soon I'll actually learn to post pics! hehe  :D

WOW... there are so many different things that can be made with hearts & 321's.  This forum is opening my eyes to a whole new way of twisting!  I love them ALL!!  And I agree, the 1st does look more like a kangaroo.  But they are all cute!

Quote from: "Graham Lee"My alter ego is also called Jennifer when I go and do my magic shows.

When the adults and children ask my name I always tell them Jennifer, dont ask me why......
just always have and always will :D

Funny you say your alter ego.  I always tell people when I'm in clown, that's the real me.  The Jennifer they see the rest of the time is the disguise!  :D

Welcome / Who am I???
May 27, 2009, 03:30:56 PM
Hello new friends!  I'm Jennifer & I have multiple personalities.  hehe, not really - just multiple characters.  I'm a receptionist for a law firm by day & a clown / entertainer the rest of the time!  I sort of introduced my characters in another topic - //http://www.balloonchat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1531   You can check that out to get an idea.  There's also a link to my MySpace pics so you can see the different characters & some of my clown friends.

First & foremost, I am a Christian.  I'm happily married to Jonathan since December 2000.  We don't have any kids yet, unless you count the 4-legged fur child that doesn't know he's a dog.  But we trust that when the time is right, the Lord will bless us as He sees fit.  I have been clowning just over 2 years & twisting about as long.  My husband & I started clowning with our church ministry & have branched out from there.  A year or so ago the couple that was over the ministry left the church & it sort of fell apart.  But that's ok because God was already working on putting something else together.  Not long before that we met some clowns from our area on another forum.  So we decided to get together.  Well, we hit it off, started meeting about once a month & from that Royal Ruckus was born.  We are a Christian based group but we do more than church stuff.  We also do fundraisers, corporate events, birthday parties, school stuff, & more!  We work together on lots of things, but we also work individually.

Speaking of individual work, right now, my husband & I are doing something special.  You'll notice my signature says "Clowning for a Cure".  We are in the middle of a fundraising effort for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Right now, at least 10% of all money we make clowning or twisting is being set aside to go with our personal donation to Light the Night.  Check out that link for more information.  We are doing this in honor of my boss's son Ethan.  He is the honored hero for this year's walk for our area.

Well, that's enough for now.  I'm sure you'll get to know me better through future posts.  I'm so excited to have found this forum & the chance to make new friends & learn new things!

God Bless!!

Hi y'all!  New to the forum & this is actually my first post.  So I hope I can get the pictures up right...

Anyway, I have 3 different characters - 2 clowns & 1 entertainer.  Both my clowns - Harmony & Melody - wear the same outfit.  The difference is hair & makeup.  Harmony wear a wig & has a big red nose, Melody has a simpler face & uses bright colored braids in her hair.  My entertainer character - Ida Twister - wears the same bright green shirt as the clowns but wears pants with it instead of the clown dress.  She does her hair similar to Melody with the bright braids.  Sometimes Ida wears make-up & sometimes not, it just depends on where she's going & what day it is.

My husband is also a clown & entertainer.  He has 2 different outfits.  For his entertainer, he wears a green (used to wear blue) shirt with a rainbow stripped vest & either black or khaki pants or shorts, depending on the event.

**I can't get the pics to work.  Until I figure it out, you can check out my MySpace page & see Harmony, Melody, Ida & friends: //http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=82416582&albumId=1828810
