Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: The next step
April 23, 2010, 08:12:23 PM
Hey Daren,
Not sure you got my message so here it is again.
Where to start you ask. Well, you can do a 10 to 15 minutes magic show.
First off check around and see if you can find clowns that hold meetings/get togethers.
Around here we call them Alleys. You can also do a search for a magic shop and purchase a change bag, dove pan and magic coloring book. Most anyone can work these three magic items. Keep in mind it's not just the magic. You must have good patter. You can try and come up with a couple of skits and link them together so that you transition smoothly from one magic trick to the next. I have entertainers insurance which I get through World Clown Associated. However, I believe they just deal with US and Canada. However, I'm sure there is someone out there for that.
You can even look at some of the old classic, Charlie Chaplin etc. I know that David Ginn had some video tapes out on magic. There was also Bev Bergeron Aka Rebo the clown he worked with Walt Disney Word , Red Skelton, Merv Griffin, Lucille Ball and a few others. The one I would recomend is Rebo Nose Clowning. You would need to do a search to find them.
I hope this helps some. Please feel free to ask any other questions of me and I will try to help. Enjoy the day.

I downloaded AVS image converter that was suppose to deal with this issue that I'm having with posting pictures and well it's not working. My pictures are just to big to many mega bites I believe that is what it's called. And I don't know how to make them smaller in the picture gallery. If anyone knows if there is a way to copy and paste let me know please. Thanks

Hey K,

Love the Rooster and glad you enjoy twisting. Nothing like taking something that looks like a long noodle and making something creative. And the funny thing is sometimes when I mess up It turns into something cool. And hey clean up is fast and easy. lol

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: Birthday Child Big Sculpture
April 19, 2010, 02:43:10 PM
Hey there Twisty,
For me it just depends ie: how many kids attending, what's involved all adding up to time restraints. If I make it before I walk in with it in a trash bag and present it right away. The birthday child always gets an additional balloon when I twist for everyone else. If it's a balloon I can do comfortable then I do it there. If not I bring it. Using a trash bag will protect the balloons during transport.
Hope this helps

Oh my. I have some kind of zip file thing. Don't ask I don't know lol. But anyway, I put it in the zip file and uploaded it seemed to work. Hopefully it works on the other end.
Oh darn it. Looks like once it's in you have to download it. Grrrr. I guess I'm going to have to find something to adjust these pic's.

Hello,
Just thought I would introduce myself. Go by name of Shirl aka Twisted Sister. Wow! Love this site I'm finding so many cool balloons and ideas it amazing. Glad to be hear. I was a professional clown for 11 yrs and went by the name of Bonkers.
I stopped twisting for about 15 yrs or so and recently have started again. I'm having a good time with it again and man have things changed. Way back when there wasn't the techniques out there that there are today. Even with all the years experience I have I still somehow feel so behind. Nice to be here.
