Balloon Chit Chat / Home page balloon dog.

All the times I have been on this chat forum, I have never hovered the cursor over the little balloon dog on the home page.  How cute!  It made me chuckle   .

I got the David Brenion, Hearts and Rounds dvd today in the mail and I was so excited I started trying them right away.  There is a 5" round graveyard in my office that keeps getting bigger and bigger.  I do not intend to give up but for today my wrists are sore - my fingers feels like they have been broken and put back together - and my frustration level is over the top of the scale.  Maybe my hands are too old to do this particular twist and no longer have the strength to do it, or maybe - just maybe, there is a secret that no-one told me about doing a marriage twist in a round balloon.  I can do them fairly well in the entertainer balloons but the rounds are just plain defying me and I can't seem to get the air to stay in the part that it needs to be.  The panda on the dvd is just wonderful but mine has a head on it that like it forgot to grow along with the body and stayed in babyhood lol.  Any help, any at all, even if it makes me looks stupid - will be welcome.  Please................

Balloon Chit Chat / So many places to post!
June 22, 2013, 02:16:01 PM
Each day I look here for new posts, then on facebook (several pages in addition to my own) and then on a couple of other balloon related places that I have joined.  On most of these sites I see the same posts and information.  I love this forum and I wonder what benefit it is to belong to all the others.  Does anyone else ever wonder about this?  There seem to be more and more options (facebook pages and forums) to join every day and if I post one of my balloon creations to one, should I be posting to all?  This is all getting very confusing to an old broad like me.  Technology is driving me nuts!!

As I think back, I have to think that I saw your Big Bear Head designs and figured it would be a great way to use up Mickey Mouse heads that I over-ordered.  My art work is not good and this balloon effort doesn't come close to comparing to your work.  You did say you would like to see one  :)

I did this for a friend who asked for balloons outside his store.  Should have added two more rounds to the top but I can never get them to look right.  I hung a couple of bunnies, a chick and a duck (thanks Dylan) to it with 260's.  Not sure how long it will last outside but hey!

This is for a bakery's 10th anniversary.  Its about 3 ft wide and I hope I can get it in their door. LOL   Funny how you may have a picture in your mind of how it should look but when it comes to doing it, the balloons don't always co-operate.  If she hadn't wanted the accordian look on the bottom, I would have woven it.

I bought the instructions from Dylan Gelanis for this fellow.  I didn't have the right colors and mine kinda looks like he's had a bit too much bubbly already lolol.

Picture Gallery / Baby Swing
February 14, 2013, 07:42:19 PM
I am soooo excited!  I did this all on my own.  The baby isn't the creation but I was trying to make a balloon ball and instead I made a baby swing.  Probably I should have made it in orange and entered the Qualatex thing lol.  And, darn it - I was trying to figure out what to use the pinch twist line for and it would have made perfect chains instead of the plain yellow balloons.

This is "Monty The Meerkat", design by TWISTINA.  I am finally getting around to making all the creations that I have purchased instructions for.  I kinda think I should have pushed the belly back further into the back!

I bought the instructions for Sabina Kellner's "Loop Weaving" last year and have kept telling myself that I would get to trying it.  Now I realize I have made every excuse possible to myself as to why I haven't.  This being a New Year and a new start, I have decided to try and make every example in her book.  So here goes the first two, hope you like them.
