Picture Gallery / Angelina Ballerina
March 24, 2011, 10:25:36 PM
I was asked to make an "Angelina Ballerina" but had no idea what that was so I checked it out on the internet.  She is a cartoon character and although she is supposed to be a grey mouse ballerina, I am happy to say that I figured out how to make her all by myself.  I do thank every balloonist that has cared and shred over the time I have been learning and finally I can share with all of you.

This is a combination of ideas by Patricia Bunnell and Ralph Dewey and a little bit of me to put it all together.  One of these days I want to come up with something that is totally my idea but in the meantime I am having fun.

Well my entry into the love of twisting is thanks to my grand daughter.  One of her middle names is "Daisy" so for her second birthday I wanted to make some special balloons for her.  I had always been in love with balloons but had no idea how to twist them much less how many different things they could be twisted into.  The internet has been the greatest resource for anything and everything related to twisting.  I found out how to make beautiful daisies for her birthday along with party hats for all the kids at the party.  Since that time, I have happily found many sharing people all over the world, willing to help this newbie.  I am 65 years old and have never met so many people who give freely of their talents to help people like me.  I have no business nor do I do parties or events, I do work part time in a balloon store just to be in a position to learn more.  Once I have gone out with their more experienced twister and fell short of what I felt I should be doing.  But, I will learn and I will succeed - and best of all I will continue to love balloons.  Thank you everyone! :D

Welcome / Hello from Ontario Canada

Hello everyone, I hail from a very small town in Ontario Canada.  Just wanted to make some fancy balloons for my grand daughters birthday a year and half ago, looked on the internet and my goodness - I was hooked.  So happy to have found yet another group of people to love ballooning as much as I do.
