I will be putting two models up this month but explaining only one of them.
The one people try the most and post pictures for will be explained on or after 21st March.

Road Runner, the first picture was done about 2/3 years ago out of 260 and picture 2 was playing with the design last week out of 360, it stands over 6ft tall.
3, The rabbit was made a while back, I think possibly for a challenge but can't remember. I would change the look of the snout next time.

Gerry is after some pictures of Ralph which I know I have somewhere on my computer but when you look you can't find and other times they pop up when not required, so did a search here with no luck, looked all through the events section. If anyone finds it could you please put the link up...........Thanks

Picture Gallery / Road Runner
February 27, 2010, 08:32:18 PM
I was going to put road runner up as the model of the month but was not happy with the look of it, so have ben playing around with the model tonight.

1, I made the original a few years back from 260's
2, Made from 360's, the neck seems too long and beak too fat and I didn't like the look of the feet
3, Adding 160 for extra toes and a fuller looking side of beak

Lyn and I are looking to do the Darlington day on the 28th April and the day will be sponsored by Balloon Art Wholesale which is the name of our balloon company although we trade under Sempertex Balloons.
If those that will be attending could spread the word about the day to clubs/friends etc it would be appreciated  :D

A few people keep telling us that it drives them mad to sort the balloons ready for either their busking bags or aprons so we have just added this to the website for a trial period to see the response.
The 160, 260 and 360 will come in two 50 count drums as per picture and the 660 in two 25 count drums.

We are planning on holding the Bristol day on Monday the 10th May, the cost will be £10 to attend and the day will be reliant on numbers. Due to Lyn and I sponsoring the day we will need a minimum of 15 to attend, so please book early if you can and lease spread the word about the day.

Picture Gallery / 660 Chair
February 14, 2010, 07:43:33 PM
Daniel made the chair at a Manchester care & share day a few years back and has put the instructions up on balloon hq. I was thinking of making two of these next week for the convention so that people could have a rest at our stand and possibly spend some money as well, a cunning plan ;)

Balloon Chit Chat / Small World
February 09, 2010, 11:25:11 PM
The last two days I have been filling in for a friend on a university gig around the country and today was in Exeter when I over heard someone asking for my name and details etc. The silhouette guy that I'm working with has been giving out the name of the person I'm standing in for and this young lady was having none of it and said she could not remember my name but had worked with and new me, she even rang Guido in Holland who is the organiser for this trip to ask him , so eventually she is told who I am and to cut a long story short'ish was one of my interpreters when I was in China in 2007, hence, small world. She is studying languages at Exeter University this year, what are the chances of that happening. We chatted for a while and she made me a balloon teddy so I made her a teddy as well  :D  It was a fun day.

Picture Gallery / Thelma's Bike
February 06, 2010, 08:38:30 PM
Thelma sent me the instructions for the bike on CD to go through to see if there were any mistakes and are they easy enough for everyone to follow, I made the bike this morning and was so inspired that after my shows today I decided to have a go at a variation. I already have an idea for a different style of wheel but will possibly try that tomorrow now as I'm feeling a bit tired...........it's an age thing  ;)
