Website "Chat" Help / website help
April 06, 2008, 09:21:45 AM
I was thinking of putting a forum on the front page where we could all help each other with comments on each other's websites.
Trying to help each other with constructive comments on how perhaps your website would look better if you done xyz,
spelling/grammar? problems,
as I know this is not my strong point etc or how to get a website up if your thinking of having one.
So the idea would be to help each other, as websites are a very personnal thing and sometimes we can all be very sensitive about them.
We would only comment on sites that people ask for help.
What should we call the forum if it goes up, how about,
"Website Help"
"Your Website Chat"

Anyone fancy being the first up or I could put one of my sites up, I think I've got six including this forum.

Patrick has also very kindly agreed to answer any questions you may have for him,
he is a busy man but has kindly agreed to be interviewed from the 1st/6th July.
His work is just stunning, I worked with him at The Cafe Royal when I was helping Colin make the balloon dresses &
Patrick decorated the room with over 100 different cartoon characteurs.
When you walked into the room it was breathtaking.
Will see if I have some photos from this event & that it's ok to post them here for you to see.

April 04, 2008, 10:18:20 AM
OK It's not a world tour, just one lecture in the UK.
Sabina is coming over for a week 6/11th July. The plan is to have a lecture probably on the Wed 9th July,
the question is where shall I book. Looking for it to be central for everyone that wishes to attend, still to finalise cost for the day as well.
Your thoughts as always are appreciated.
Morte details about Sabina's fantastic work can be found at,
http://www.twistart.at
I expect Sabina will also do "The Interview" on here in a couple of weeks time, althouh I've not asked her to yet.

Balloon Chit Chat / Conventions
March 28, 2008, 10:42:35 PM
Been at the Doncaster juggling convention for two days as they have a small balloon convention attached to the main juggling convention.
The jugglers come from all over the world & just sign up to teach different classes, the one that caught my eye this year was making
musical instruments from vegtables, the carrott whistle looked good.
Will have to try & see if there is anything on you tube about this.
The twister instructore were,
David Crofts, Twistina, Michael from Ireland, Colin Myles & myself
with a varied selection of topics being covered.
As the majority of people that attend are the jugglers who get free entry when the sign up to the full
3 day juggling convention the classes are kept to begineer/Int.
Really had fun the first day catching up with everyone & going out for a meal.
Thoroughly enjoyed teching my two classes & having fun with the class.
I think the average class had about 15 people attending & they lasted for one & a half hours.
Talk is this may be held in Manchester next year.

Balloon Chit Chat / Wim, Thank You
March 25, 2008, 05:45:07 PM
A Very big "Thank You" to Wim for helping with all the behind the scene problems setting up this forum and there have been a few.
This would have taken me months to get up & working and Wim is still working on all the finer details of the site which I didn't even know about.

I come up with the idea's for the forum & poor old Wim has to programme & sort things out, and he says we are a team. Seem's a bit one sided to me,
but I'll come up with something for him to say thanks. Watch this space.

Will be speaking to someone very soon to get a model put up that we can all try to make.
I think it would be nice for it to be up for a while so that we can attempt to make it & post our efforts.
Then after a few days the instructions go up. It can be very surprising when you try to make something
without the instructions that halfway through it looke like something ecompletely different & then off you go at a tangent.
Your thoughts on this are welcome, as they are on any other of the topic on the forum.
I'd very much like this to be a user's forum, so all your suggestions are welcome as they may spark someone else into coming up with an idea.

March 18, 2008, 02:08:04 PM
Well hello to everyone, just trying to programme the site up with my limited amount of knowledge with computers.
I think I may have to get someone to help me set the forum up.
Very busy at the moment with the Ralph Dewey lecture, my balloon act show & lecturing.
Hope to find time soon to get the forum up & working.
