I'm not sure I have this right Parcival but do you want Nippy to review Balloon Click? It's a forum not a DVD/CD

Then the hound dog which when I purchased the tape I struggled with the technique to make this, I made two tonight with no problem at all.
The frog below which is still a one balloon is the one I went over to use as the frog Ralph explained on the tape does have a lot of pressure on the balloon and if needing to work quickly
I found that I did pop the odd one now and again but this may have been because of me and not the technique. The frog and dog are made using the same technique.

Number 22

Ralph Dewey, Dewey's Advanced Balloons.

I do remember buying this at the millennium jam and at a guess it would have been 2001 although there is no date saying when the DVD was produced. There is no content on the outer covers so it's not till you view the tape and yes it is a tape that you know what you will be viewing. In fact I used to make the frog all the time form this but had yet again forgotten about it so a good memory jogger for me yet again.

On the tape was, A Bicycle, Buzz Danger The Space Ranger, I wonder who that could be? Hound Dog, Frog, Roaring Tiger which is where I got the idea for the head of my one balloon cat which is similar but a slight variation and Goofus.
All the models were usable but the larger ones probably not practical for quick and easy but certainly attention getters most definitely especially when you think that the tape is at least 10 years old. Ralph passes on some nice tips and tricks of the trade especially about drawing on a balloon and then letting it down before inflating it again for the head of Buzz Danger.

This is the frog Ralph explains on the tape, a very nice one balloon frog.

Edit, I just found the date the tape was produced 2000.

It's always nice to read how someone got started and hooked into twisting, welcome to the site and hope to see you at the Leeds day.
As yet it is not confirmed, Dennis and Ingrid are on holiday at the moment and I need to sort things out before it is confirmed for the UK.

More good news, I just bought another 32gb memory card from ebay and this one was even cheaper, just £20.50 for an item that shoudl be £71 and it's brand new never been opened. Well that is what they say.

Two of the little babies have died but the other three are now all in a nest and she seems to be looking after them. Before they were all over the cage and she was walking all over them and paying no attention.

Balloon Chit Chat / Credit Card Payment
August 05, 2011, 02:39:16 PM
I have just taken the plunge and ordered a mobile credit card terminal so no matter where we are, magic convention, care & share day or even at home we will be able to take credit card payments for the first time. Hoping it will be all up and running in a couple of weeks.

I enjoyed waiting for each individual post to come up on the forum Nippy, I have all the copies from number 1 although when they first started they were not numbered but had Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter written on them.
Thanks for taking the time to do this and post for all the members and lurkers who view the site.  :D

Since recording the days I have 3 small memory cards 4, 8 and 16gb for the HD camera that I purchased for the events, those that come to the days know I have to keep changing them about and they always run out at the wrong time. I decided to buy the largest 32gb available which should record a straight 5 hours which will be plenty of time with some to spare should we run over slightly. On amazon the one I wanted was £71 so of I go to ebay and there were two auctions of the correct make finishing tonight and I got lucky and won with a winning bid of £26.55
so a bit of a result there  :D
At the next day it's just hit the button and away we go............hopefully!

Quote from: "Snurb"A: I'd rarly get feedback of any sort.
Please do not take this the wrong way as as Danny has said this is a good discussion topic, but I think if others are thinking the same as you about not getting much feedback when pictures are put onto the site, well if we all thought this then nothong would get posted. Again please do not get upset with me I know I may be on dodgy ground with this and trying to explain in just the written word with no feeling and emotion put into what I am saying. The odd comment now and again is nice to receive and a while back Bonnie did say to me that one thing she thinks is missing from the forum is giving feedback when pictures are posted so it looks very much like Bonnie was right.
I'm happy to give feedback when asked but it would be honest feedback so I may get myself into even more trouble  ;)  I'm an honest type of guy.

When I was doing the model of the month sometimes the instructions took me over 5 hours to write up and photograph and some months none of the models were attempted.
It was only from the days that the odd person now and again made a comment about trying to make one of the models and could not work out how I got from A to B
but never asked on the forum just waited till they saw me at a day to ask.

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: New DVD
August 04, 2011, 10:29:44 AM
This is the list, I have been speaking with Thelma this morning and we are looking into doing another DVD as well so I think what does not get onto my wearable DVD will maybe end up on a Levett & Lee Vol 2.

Elephant
BasketBall
Duck
Monkey
Snail
Plane
Butterfly wings
Crocodile
Pink panther
Red arrow
Ariel
Crossbow
Shield x 2
Swan
Ghost x 2
Flower
Dracula
Giraffe
Horse
Angel
Helicopter
Diver
Sponge Bob
Car + Bike
Ostrich
Fish hat

The one from this list that is the showstopper and always gets a round of applause when I make it is the ride in Helicopter. Until I made the helicopter when working the real world to get a round of applause was un heard of, yet if I make the helicopter and then go onto other wearable's they all end up getting applause as once they have clapped for the helicopter it seems to become the norm. An interesting point and psychology, I'm always learning.

Picture Gallery / Re: My First Dress
August 04, 2011, 10:20:29 AM
The vertical bubbles are all good and small so making for no gaps between the rows which sometimes happens. If you put a few more vertical balloons onto the dress then the horizontal layers would be smaller bubbles making for a more rounded flowing overall look.
Thanks for taking the time to post  :D
