Got home safe and sound, will post some pictures when I get a few minutes to re-size them.
Thanks to everyone who brought along some goodies and especially Emma for bringing so many cream cakes, biscuits, rice crispie cakes, shortbread etc etc.

I think the day was a success, first time of trying the large sculpture day and it was a case of seeing how things worked best but we all seemed to have fun.

Quote from: "Martin"If I can manage to get there for part of the day can I just turn up without pre-booking? ...and if I do manage to get there can I just pay you the money for the Guild membership?
Yes thats fine, I even have some of the David Brenion lecture DVD's with me as I was hoping to get a few new members tomorrow.

I have sorted out a top name to come along next Oct for the Balloon Artistes Guild star lecture day, nothing like planning ahead.

Very striking, could you have another twisted balloon design instead of the rounds? Or are you planning on using rounds?
You could have the rounds floating away in the background for added colour, reminds me of the film "UP"

We are now stocking Lime Green and Rose 11" round balloons in bags of 100 as well as the 25 count bags.
We will be updating the website soon and will be stocking all 11" rounds in 100 and 25 count bags.

We have booked the venue for the first care & share super day, the party day is planned for Thursday 21st July. We will be having a couple of fun competitions during the day and also 3 mini lecturettes by the balloon artistes guild members. Could all members who would like to run a 30/45 minute session please get in touch, nothing like advertising the event before even booking people to run the sessions  :D
The day before at the same venue we will be having The David Grist Memorial lecture given by Dennis Hogers. david-grist-memorial-lecture-20th-july-t4082.html

Booking details for the party day; http://www.balloonartwholesale.co.uk/catal ... -23-1.html

Welcome / Re: Hi from the West Midlands

Hi Gail, Welcome to the site. I would suggest a minimum of six designs but ten would be great with a menu board so that people can only choose something from there so saving you the stress of having to deal with requests.
There is a menu board on this thread; first-menu-board-t3033.html?hilit=menu%20board
And a display table here; display-table-t2978.html?hilit=menu%20board
With a discussion on a menu board here; menu-not-t1666.html?hilit=menu%20board
