Basically, you are asking the same type of question as "do you prefer a Mac (computer) or PC?"

I own both of these pumps.  Each of them has their own strength and weakness, so it boils down to personal preference.  They both blow up a 260 and 350 easily.

I prefer the nozzle and weight of the MacPump.  I like that it's heavier so it doesn't tip over as easily.  It's not very flashy, but I added stickers so it's more colorful.  I like that the nozzle has less ridges.

My daughter prefers the Filbert.  It's lighter, which she likes, and much more colorful.

Overall, if you just pick one, you'll be happy with it, I'm sure!!  Happy hunting!

Well said Stuart.  I think as a whole we are a very sharing group, and I think this article has an unrealistic slant.  It seems to be someone looking for something for nothing, really, when others have put hours into working out designs.

Interesting read.  Thanks for posting, Graham.

Quote from: "nippy99"MONKEY TREE

The perfect compliment to Buster's famous monkey design - a tree to display the monkey. The monkey design is not taught on this DVD. You will need to purchase an earlier volume to learn this. The tree itself looks great but is really fast to make. Buster explains the importance of entertaining whilst making this. The final design forms a hat but I have stopped slightly short and just made the tree with some added bananas.

If I hadn't already purchased all this series of DVDs I guess I would be annoyed that the monkey isn't taught here.

Rather than buying the DVD, you can watch his YouTube video where he teaches the monkey design.

This hat is basically a flower with some green stems coming from it. Not too sure about this one. In my attempt the green petals look like horns!

However, with a bit of tweaking, you'd have a great Maleficent hat!

I love balloonchat!  I'm here constantly looking things up, reading the posts, and such.  I don't post much here, but I don't post much on FB either.  Many times, I feel like what I want to say has already been said....and probably more than once.  I would cry if Balloonchat goes away, but I don't really know what to say.  I'll try, again, to come up with creative things that are helpful.

Please don't go away, Graham!
