always handy to have a few one balloon models up the sleeve for working life as well as a sword and flying mouse.

D is for Digger
I made this digger last week,
The real challenge was not getting it through the door, but getting it into the back of the car
It was made in kit form, the wheels and all attachments were separate, very quick to put together
All I want to do now is make another one for my family, although not sure they would all be too happy, might make a slightly smaller version so it doesn't clog up the living room

Gradually increasing my collection of very bright suits as I go along
I think a guest (young, 5 years old) the other day must have been used to seeing a balloon maker in full clown as they said to me 'where is your face'.
I pointed to the front side of my head where my mouth and eyes are and they said 'no that's not your face'.  and the conversation got more and more amusing from there

It was great to have a catch up, see you all, time to relax a bit at the special workshop Daniel Fudd event

And thank you again Daniel – great designs/ideas and modular approach, I enjoyed it all except the bit at the beginning when I wasn't there, well someone has to be late and non-stop catching up at home what with the little ones and the admin etc etc.
Once again if you're not at one of these events you miss out so much on the exchange of ideas which cannot be gained just from looking at photos afterwards

and also thank you to all participants (everyone there) who so kindly  let me drive off with a car jam packed with your balloon creations – I had a brilliant session at my daughters school the next day; was able to do some designs along the nocturnal animal theme which was the topic and then had bagfulls of random models to share out with the class, it really made it.

and Daniel has managed to experience the joys of British railways

M is for Motorbike
Graham jokingly said to me 'why don't you post step by step instructions for this on the forum?'
I thought 'what a great idea' - if anyone would be interested...
Might leave it to the quieter months at the start of the year

I like the design too, reminds me a bit of a yin yang with the red and the blue balloons sort of linking up.
I'll have a cup or two
