Balloon Decor / Cloud wedding decor
May 26, 2014, 08:58:50 PM
This week we did a wedding at a lovely venue for a wonderful couple. It was my first time doing cloud set up since learning how to do them last year on a wedding course and they wanted 8 so I was a little nervous lol but they fitted really well with the windows in the orangery and the bride loved them :) We also did chair covers and a table top bride and groom as a surprise from the bride's mother - here is the room before and after.

Picture Gallery / Birds in the water fountain
May 22, 2014, 08:13:46 PM
It's my mother-in-laws birthday tomorrow and she has followed and supported my balloons since the first flower I made.  She loves to see each balloon I create and regularly sorts and packs balloons for my balloon bag. Every year I make a very special balloon that I have never made anyone before. This year I took inspiration from her love of birds in the garden. She has always had a bird bath and multiple bird feeders so I decided to make her a special column with birds bathing in the fountain. The water is lit with fibre optics as she also likes lights :)

Picture Gallery / First Shop window display
May 22, 2014, 06:06:53 AM
This week I did my first window display for a cake decorating shop that's opening in my local area. Was very quick turn a round booked Monday and installed Wednesday. Was great fun working with their colours. Customer loved it and last night they rang me to tell me it's been drawing lots of crowds to look :)

Last year I was asked to make to large club mascots for a local football team. They were pleased with them and came back again this year :) Having purchased Phileas DVD for face design I attempted to do an upgraded version this year :)

Last year

This year

Think the heads still could do with a bit of work to perfect moving forward but as I watched the DVD whilst having root canal and crown prep at the dentist (I have a fab dentist with DVD goggles) and then did them from memory the next day I was pretty pleased with them.

Interestingly my twins both prefer the former ones - guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder not necessarily the twister but the customer loved them :)

Thanks for taking the time to look :)

A customer sent me this photo of a Michael Jackson pose and asked if we could create a parody of him like this. Not totally happy with it but this is what I came up with :) Hope they like it in the morning :)

Picture Gallery / Some recent work - baby carriage
April 24, 2014, 07:07:40 PM
Some recent work - just sharing :)

Baby carriage - centrepiece for Baby shower

(this one is  waiting to go and now I have uploaded the picture I am going to move the  front wheel forward to the corner as it will look more balanced :)

Does anyone else take pictures and then when you look at them you immediately notice little things you would change? I do it all the time even having spent ages fiddling with the design before deciding it's done :)

Balloon Chit Chat / Van/car signage
March 24, 2014, 06:24:02 AM
Good morning everyone :) I am looking for some advice :) the time has come where I need to invest in a larger vehicle and get the company properly on the road. As I do twisted decor I need to be able to transport larger columns etc without having to call my poor dad all the time to help transport lol. Budget is tight but I am looking at ways to decorate the vehicle with our brand. Can any one recommend any companies in the south or low budget high impact ideas to decorate our vehicle when we get it? Would love to see pictures of your vehicles and what you have decorated them with :) Thanks in advance for your help - really appreciated!

Picture Gallery / Anyone remember Mr Wimpy?
March 13, 2014, 08:28:18 PM
Perhaps some of the entertainers have worked at a Mr Wimpy party at some point :) this is a special balloon from the mother of the bride on her daughters wedding day - bit odd you might think for a wedding -  but every year the daughter insisted on having a Mr Wimpy party for her birthday  so it has special meaning to them both ;) it's amazing how balloons can recreate such special memories for people :)

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Help needed please
November 14, 2013, 01:12:03 PM
Normally I only do decor and to be honest moving forward this will continue to be the case but somehow a very very nice lady talked me in to doing a workshop for our local church. They are a very active church and do loads for the local youngsters so I am very happy to help out but I am not sure what balloons to do with them. It's only for an hour so only a couple of models needed and it's for the teenage youth group. Any suggestions would be very gratefully received :) Thanks in advance for your help :)
