Hi, I have been thinking.. Like my introductions said, Brisbane is behind on the times when it comes to Balloon Twisting/Art. Clients haven't figured out that balloon twisting is a fantastic way to entertain. Its still very much that they MUST have a face painter but not a balloon artist. There aren't that many people doing ballooning at the moment.  The ones that do get the gigs have been doing it for a while and have got contacts and are well known. I myself would love to do Balloon Twisting all the time, but I get calls for Face Painting mostly and sometimes balloons as an extra on top. (once the client know I can do great designs, they all end up wanting a sculpture!). I have however got my 12 year old son (he's very popular, known as 'The Balloon Boy') involved and he does the balloon twisting whilst I do the face painting for a small additional fee to the client. I also am able to do balloon twisting at parties (1st hr face painting, 2nd hour balloon twisting). So I get my outlet that way. I try to do an impressive sculpture for the Birthday Child. We are slowly starting to have mini jams, (apart from jamming with my son, I've had no one to jam with) so now other face painters are coming on board and doing what I do. Which is great. I want Brisbane to realize that balloons are awesome and we need to spread the word. We as face painters jam once a month. There's plenty of gigs out there! Can we do the same for balloons? Of course! Can someone advise me on how I can get more balloon gigs? Any advice would be greatly received

Hi, my name is Jasmine.  I'm new to forums, but was recommended this one by Jeff Hayes.. Awesome guy! Anyways, I've been twisting for about 1 year now and absolutely love it! I've been a Face Painter for 7 years but got into Balloon Twisting because people were asking for it. It's not so big in Brisbane but it will be soon, and I'll be ready when it does. I love doing balloon gigs. I love it when I give a child and adult an awesome balloon. I'm looking forward to finding my way round this Forum and getting to know like minded people. Thank you for having me.
