Quote from: "Graham Lee"People give rave reviews about the Beating book so I think you will definitely like that.

Yes, it was reading about it on here which totally bowled me over - was never interested in books before as figured everything is online these days, but I am really excited to get my hands on that book!

My Dad called the other day and asked how to order two things off my wishlist - I'm getting a busking apron and the Beating book! I don't know which I'm more excited about!!

Good idea! This is the second sign I should go to Ikea today! What do you use as the individual holders? The clear stuff?

Balloon Chit Chat / Static and hairy balloons!
December 12, 2014, 07:39:09 PM
So I have really long hair and there's always a piece of it floating about, even when it's tied back, there's usually a stray piece of hair which has attached itself to my balloons. Plus generally fluff just seems attracted to them. It's driving me batty!

Any tips on keeping my balloons nice and clean?

I still can't do this - I try and try! Although the information I follow is to twist first? So will try your advise Graham and try again.

I have bought a couple of little 'balloon cutters' which just hook on a belt and they are okay - not the same though!

Hope no-one minds me posting this in here - please delete it Graham if it shouldn't be here.

I volunteer with a charity every summer out in Belarus working with disabled and orphaned children and adults. It is through doing this that I actually got into ballooning - we took some cheap modelling balloons out there and they adored them, so I of course came home and tried to learn more and more for them.

I am fundraising at the moment for this summer. I really don't expect any / many donations as this is my 4th year out there! But I figure it doesn't hurt to post a link just incase anyone does want to donate?

:D  hope it isn't too cheeky of me!! Thanks for reading!

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: News Page

A news blog something like this; http://www.theguardian.com/news/blog  (just an example) but see how they have headers for each article and a short extract. That way you can click on the header to read more, or move on to the next article. Keeps it neater and easier for you to manage. Search engines look at links as well so give those internal website links (the headers of the articles) good names which are descriptive.

You don't need to have all the information on the homepage for Google to rank it higher. Homepages need to look clear, concise and clutter free as they are peoples first impression.
A blog would be good - but you can combine it with a news from the ballooning world (similar to the information currently on the homepage)

(Sorry if I'm preaching to the choir! Tell me to go away if you want lol!
