I watched yesterday but they hadn't put No 2 up then. Watched 1, 3 & 4 though and shared on FB as it is inspirational viewing for any twisters and decorators out there.

Lots now get the classy wrap from America. They work out (with postage) £340 ish although you will probably be stung for VAT on the way over as Parcel Force are great for that!

Christine I can only echo what the others have said. I cannot justify buying huge amounts of CD's & DVD's but I believe I have all of yours (or if I don't I should have!) and they are incredibly clear and easy to follow and I love them for line work and on jobs because they really are 5 minute delights.

To use such foul language and in the first instance is not just unnecessary but if he was at the doctors or in a shop using language like that he would have the police called on him! They don't put up with it and neither should you.

As for what you should do I am afraid I am no use because I haven't a clue.

By the way thank you for the help so far. Am experimenting with everything to see what looks best and then I will take hundreds of photos. Thankfully the other bike is a bit less complicated although I will need to experiment with balloons inside balloons!

I've managed to take photos of what I have tried. This is attempt 2 as the first one was terrible! The weaving is not very neat nor very sturdy, however.  The neat is just because this is a rough draft the sturdy I think can be countered with pinch twists at each joint. I think though that I may go back to using 260's and have another go. I know I've not started far enough back on the bike and I need to make a kind of console back for the dials etc to be glued onto. I am, however, getting there slowly but surely.

This stool is way too low for this style bike but I have acquired these stools which Paul is supposedly hacking the legs down for me today!  Also going to cover the seats with 3ft rounds rather than leave them dirty cream coloured but this is how they were recieved from Freegle.

I've tried it with 260's in a kind of dress weave but really not very sturdy (as it is not a round but open ended) but looks too bulky. I think I need to make it with 160's to look sleeker but could just do with pointers as to a kind of weave that will stand it's own weight and that I can sculpt into that curved sleek shape!

I know - I don't want much do I?

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Weaving Advice Needed!
May 07, 2012, 08:37:54 AM
I am currently working out 2 designs for ride on motorbikes for the same client and for once have plenty of time to work on it! However, one of the bikes has a white bit and visor at the front and I am wondering what is the best kind of weave to get the effect need.  I've attached a photo of what I am talking about.

No Graham the people I have seen are just generally ranting and feeling justified in doing so. I am all for giving credit where it is appropriate (I have recieved help from people and am more than happy to publically thank them). However, I will not give credit on my website, FB page nor anywhere where else I am advertising my services as I think that reflects badly on me.  The general public don't care who designed a particular piece (nor will they have a clue who it originated from even if you did tell them) merely that you can make it as well as they expect.

I would.  Google + Hangout is a great free multi person version of Skype. Can get a bit confusing if there are too many people though.

The only way she could sue you is if you took her photo off her site, posted it to yours and was claiming it as your own. As you have made and photographed your own you have done nothing wrong in the slightest.  Even if you had stolen her photo it would cost a lot to sue someone over it and frankly it would not be worth it. Most cost effective course of action is to notify the said thief's web host as they must investigates instances of copyright infringement and if upheld will just remove your website. However, like I say you would have literally had to have posted her photo on your website.

I have noticed some people recently (and not just balloons) are getting excessively nasty about not getting credit for their "designs" when they feel it is due.  In my opinion it is all getting a little ridiculous and if you post your pictures anywhere on the internet you are effectively letting them go. You cannot then get the hump when someone likes your idea and replicates it nor can you get the hump if they don't shout to all their customers that you designed it either.  You can. however, get grumpy when someone takes your photos and claims them as their own work.

Sorry can you tell this is one of my pet peeve subjects.
