I'm going to post my entry tomorrow, I didn't quite understand the bits where the white joins the black at the neck.

Just starting to do mine now Graham, when tying the raisins onto the Geo - Its made the sections appear smaller - how do I rectify this for the future? Less air in the geo?

Quote from: "Graham Lee"I used the 350 from the top section of the head only and doubled it over, the mouth fold twists are from a 260 and there are 4 twists for the lower section of the face from a 260.
The design above has a different construction.
As the top section of the head has 4 bubbles the neck sits nicer and holds in place pretty good.

I like this horse face, but both the horse hat and ride in horse should definitely be on the cards!!!!

Here are a few photos of balloons I have made recently. As somewhat of a newcomer to the sport of balloon wrestling I'd really appreciate some feed back on these. Sadly, they are all from instructional DVDs or youtube.

First is a tarantula and a web I made for a friends birthday (he keeps tarantulas, so its not as bizarre a request as you may think!)

Next are a go a few 'lootles' (not sure what that means exactly, but they are from Robbie Furmans DVD)
The first one was from 260s and I made a little ukulele from a 160 with a pipe cleaner inside (he went to live on the counter of a friends music shop!)

Finally a larger 'lootle', from 350s. I had to use two balloons for the head and two for the body as I couldn't manage to do it with just one.
Although he's quite cute, I'm not too happy about him because his head only tips backwards, I can't get him to face forwards (any tips with this would be great! - Maybe I could try adding a neck somehow?
I got a little creative with his moustache and thought he looked like a strong-man so I made a little dumb-bell for him! He would look better if he had hands but need to re-watch the DVD to se how to make them.!

Balloon Chit Chat / Balloon Dress
September 08, 2015, 12:53:21 PM
I'd like to have a go at making a balloon dress, but don't want to feel like I wasted my time or the balloons after making it. So planning ahead, I've been searching for fashion shows in my local area - can't find anything. So, do you guys have any suggestions of what I could do with it, or where I could show it off?

Before anyone suggests it, nope. I'm not going to wear it myself!

Balloon Chit Chat / Re: DVDs v. Downloads
August 18, 2015, 09:21:18 AM
There are pros and cons to both.
Downloads 'arrive' when you have ordered them. No waiting. Although, if ordering from Graham, DVDs arrive the next day anyway.

DVDs don't take up space on they hard drive, whereas downloads will do. For me, this is the biggest con for downloads. As a twisting newbie, I want to learn as much as I can but I'm restricted to the number of downloads because I only have a finite amount of space on my computer.

Balloon Tutorial & Help / Re: wine in a balloon
August 17, 2015, 04:07:06 PM
The first time I tried this I only used a 646 to put the bottle in. I didn't wrap a 260 around it. I got the bottle to stand up with minimal wobble. This time however, I wrapped a 260 around as in the original picture and the bottle has terminal wobble. It just doesn't want to stand straight.

To attach the 260 I first used a pinch twist, this was twisted to the knot of the 646, and twisted around the other side. The 646 was then wrapped into the base. I thought the pinch twist was making it wobble so i popped it, doing that made no difference.

Any help?

Haha, great photo! I wondered about making this if I get asked to do another event and let people wear it for photos. Do you think thats a good idea?
