Hello everyone, I started twisting about a year ago, but it was put on hold over the summer and autumn months, as I have also been building up a face painting business.  I do enjoy twisting and I want to add it as another bow to my arrow for party entertainment.  I don't struggle too much with the actual twisting, my problem is remembering the designs.  I have just ordered Graham's DVD collection which I hope will teach me lots of designs.  Is it just a case of lots of repetition???

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hi Suzi, welcome to the forum.  I too have struggled with remembering the designs and which ones I know how to do.  The secret is practice as I have been told over and over again, in this and other forums.  It doesn't hurt to have little cheat sheets as well which are really just pictures of what you are trying to do.  I find if I have a picture of the design to look at, I can usually remember how to do it.  It doesn't have to be exactly the same and usually it isn't lolol.

Thanks Graham.  Thanks Millie, I will remember that, anything that can help my brain shift up a gear again is good.  ;)

Hi Suzi and welcome!
With repetition and practice you will remember the designs.  I know that when i get asked for something i haven't made in a while I can have a complete mental block!  Just don't rush to add too many designs too soon.

Hi Suzi,

Just practise and practise. You start with a small number of figures and it will gradually extend.
