Helen

Hi all, my names Helen. I have been particularly keen to join this forum since I want to say a huge thank you to all it's members for so generously sharing their skill and knowledge.
My story starts in May where as a member of a small fundraising group for our local hospice I was trying to get hold of a balloon twister for our annual Spring Fayre. Unfortunately I was unsuccessful and made a joke to my family that I would have to learn ready for next year. Little did I know that my two sons had brought me a "starter" kit for a fun birthday gift the day after the fayre. (My lounge floor has been littered with balloons since!) Here's where the thanks are due – to start off I learnt a few basic models from the forum and took my balloons along to an event "just in case". I ended up twisting all day for donations to the hospice and made over £40. I now also learn from the sculptures and sell them at my café to fund the cost of the balloons and again raise money for the hospice. Without you lot on this forum none of this would have been possible, so again a Thank You!
