Just thought I would say hi to everyone...I only joined yesterday and im already hooked on your site! So many interesting things to read and look at, your all FANTASTIC! I love the fact you can come on here and people are willing to help you out! I only started balloon twisting about 8 weeks ago but im hooked already....LOVE IT!
Quick question....is there anything I can use to help preserve the balloons once they are made? Ive read Hi Float is more for helium filled balloons?  :)

Hi and welcome - I am also a newbie, I started about 4 weeks ago and like you I am hooked, my world is all about balloons at the moment. (No idea about preserving them - here they live longest if I keep my 9 month old away from them)

Ha ha...yeah I know what you mean, my 3 and 4 year old are always in my balloon bag (when I say balloon bag....thats a carrier bag lol) thinking they are helping me...bless!  ;)

Hi BabyBetty,

Welcome to the forum!

As for preserving balloons, putting them in a plastic bag and keeping oxygen away from them helps. Out of sunshine as that biodegrades the latex.

And if you want to splash out you can try putting on "Balloon Shine" with a cloth. Or cheaper, but no guarantees, tyre shine will do too.

And yes I believe you could use high float too. but its messy.

Finally if you want your balloons to last, don't give them to children!   ;)

Keep twisting,
Danny

Welcome to the site, glad you like it and all that take part.
I love the excitement and enthusiasm of the newbie twisters although I think I still have that enthusiasm all these years on, sometimes it never goes away.

Hi bettybaby, this is a great forum!  I have used high float in some things but it's really hard to get into the 260's.  It can be done but unless it's a really important sculpture, it just isn't worth the mess!  Have fun here, the people are a super group!

Hi Betty and welcome!!
I believe you can put them in the fridge to last longer (until you need them).  Of course, I never have enough room in my fridge to do that!!!
