You know the hours seem to roll on and on when your`e enjoying yourself...TWISTING....lol
Sorry, yes i first got started way back in 1986 when i was too old to join our local magic society, ie all juniors had to be 15 or under, i had just turned 16.
So i joined the senior section, what an eye opener that was....lol  
Fist night, i was set on fire, had a bra removed from inside of my shirt, and NO it was NOT mine... but that night someone called George Lock aka Uncle George the Magic Clown from Ashington, showed me how to blow up a balloon & make a poodle..... :shock:
`That was it...A RUBBER LATEX FETISH...was born`.... when i look back at it..a young lad at 16 wanting to do Balloon animals, YES you are correct, i did NOT have a girl firend and i needed to get out more.....lol  
The next meeting i was shown how to make the `Poodle with a meatball in its tummy`, this was way back in the summer of 1986, by a good friend of mine called Richard Carrigan who is more known for close-up with cards.

Not long after that i met Bob Wooding, and i never thought that BALLOONS were life changing... YES remember `I still need to get out more`.
Bob wooding followed by Shirley Ray then the amazing Mike Decker, Marvin J Hardy, life was amazing....by the way i was also doing magic as well.... not all my life was taken up by BALLOONS.
So after my introduction to BALLOONS, i became hooked.... all my time was taken up learning NEW balloon characters, working more towards multiple balloons rather than single balloon models, then i met David Grist...WOW
So here i am 23 years on, doing Balloons & magic full time for a living, YES and enjoying life, just become a father in the last 12 months, truly amazing.
I know that here in the North East, if yo ask ANY entertainer about balloons, they normally mention my name, ask Krazy Kev, Dennis...it`s one of those things, you know when you get steryo typed and there is nothing you can do about it.....
If truth was known i`d rather be better known as a MAGICIAN not a Balloon modeller, but if it payes the bills, the payments for the house, car etc i do`nt grumble.........lol
So with almost 23 years of messing about with LATEX you can imagine i do`nt mind sharing ANY of my own ideas on balloons or magic with balloons, so don`t be SHY...Just ASK.... :geek:

I was speaking with Krazy Kev just this afternoon, i have been performing an effect called `VORTEX` which i came up with around three years ago, have been using it in my Cabaret ACT.
The effect is that an object gets`SUCKED` into a round balloon, hence the name VORTEX, i am willing to share the performance & routine with explanation to any one who would like to learn it.
Yes, a mobile/cell phone gets sucked through the bottom of a balloon, then given to the audience member to TAKE OUT HIS OR HER SELF....... :lol:  :lol:
The reason i`m doing this is that two american magicians have just released a simiar effect called `PRESSURE`, i have NOT seen there presentation or there method, but i would rather share my knowledge with YOU, free.....
Why spend your hard earned money on a DVD where you could be buying...BALLOONS..( you know the SEMPERTEX ones.....     ).
So if you see me at ANY balloon care and share event or Balloon twisting/Jam session just..ASK !!!! :geek:  :geek:
So in a nutshell, without BLOWING my own trumpet, ( Hang on i don`t own a trumpet...), well you know what i mean....... Just ASK and i will share with you my knowledge with you...

Life is odd as that is the second time today that I have seen the pluto sculpture design, it was in a magazine I was looking through today as I was having a big clear up/out.
I used to make this as well a long time ago so it brought back a few memories. Can anyone remember who's design it was originally?
