Hi
New as a member but had been viewing all the wonderful creations for a couple of years now.  I only do balloon twisting for fun and started out this interest when my daughter recieved a twisted balloon wand at the shopping centre.  I find the adults enjoy the balloons if not more than the kids.  This is a wonderful forum to share and see the creativity of all from a simple balloon is amazing.
Thanks everyone
Cheers June

Hi June and welcome to the forum. Whereabouts in Oz are you from? You'll find lots of hobbyists on here. I've been doing it as a hobby for 2 years and have just stared to do some paid work. Looking forward to seeing some of your creations.

Hi June,  I have also recently joined this forum and am from Melbourne - started twisting (a few weeks ago) for similar reasons to you, to entertain my kids and now I am addicted.  Paid for a balloon for my daughter at a festival today Bear on a Heart and my daughter who is almost three said "It's not as good as yours mum!" - ahh she is my number one fan.

Thanks Rhian.  Thats awesome that your hobby is now paying for itself. I am from Rowville Victoria.  I often forget to take photo's of what I make and will need to ask pictures from the people that I have made the balloons from.  I will post some pics in the near future :D

Hi to my fellow Melburnian
Yes it is addictive and fun.  My daughter (now six) is into it as well and can twist balloon dogs.
Have fun and will keep an eye out for your creations.
Cheers June

June - where do you get your balloons from?  They seem expensive here compared to the UK.  I am in Camberwell but have friends in Lysterfield and used to work in Boronia so am familiar with out that way a little.

Hi
I find there is not much choice of twisting balloons in Australia that I know of so have been ordering in from the USA from La Rocks Fun and Magic.  Probably not much cheaper after you pay freight however there is heaps more choice. :D
